Memorial Day Weekend

Since Jon's mom's school ended the week before Memorial Day weekend, Tom and Connie were able to come down to Saint Louis to spend the weekend with us. Saturday we made a special stop to Gus' Pretzels (our favorite!!), took a tour of Busch Stadium (it was my first time, even though I grew up in the area!), and then went for a picnic in Forest Park. Sunday was time for church and some grandparent time with the kiddos while mommy and daddy went to the cookout for the youth at church. Monday we hit the Butterfly House (quite fun...but next time we'll go when it's not already so hot outside!), barbequed, and went swimming. And Tuesday, we sent Evan off for a week with his grandparents. The break from Evan was nice, but it would have been nicer if Haven wasn't so fussy while he was gone... :( (She sleeps through the night, but she is SO fussy during the day and hardly takes naps!...and you should hear her scream--especially what we call her "high octave screaming"...ugh...) Turns out Evan didn't have the best of weeks either...he ended up getting sick the day after they got back...and he stayed that way for most of the week. Poor little guy. Poor grandma and grandpa too! Thankfully by the end of his week there he was feeling well enough for some Kopp's Custard (mommy and daddy were jealous!!) and a trip to the airport to watch the planes fly in and out (by far his favorite activity with grandma and grandpa EVER!) :) Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
