DRUMS!
For Evan's birthday, his Great Grandma Wales bought him a REAL drumset. He begged us to take it out of the box the second he opened his present! We had a great reason not to open it that night--we were celebrating his birthday at a hotel and had to drive an hour back home. And then we sort of procrastinated as long as we could. But Jon finally caved and put it together for him this week. He LOVES it. He feels so special sitting at this perfectly sized little drum set. He even got the hang of using the foot petal to make even MORE music. I think he feels like a rock star the way he sits and sings and bangs on the drums. It's precious. We really need to get it on video one of these days...after it's fixed, that is. After only one day, he busted through one of the snares (they're made out of plastic to keep the noise down a bit). So Mommy and Daddy need to tape it up so it can last a little bit longer. :) Then we need to skype Great Grandma so she can see him in action. :)
